Abstract: Business activities belong to an activity of intercultural communication. To achieve a successful business conversation and avoid the unnecessary misunderstanding, we should have a good command of intercultural communication. Studying on the business English translation from the perspective of intercultural communication, this thesis analyzes the cultural effect on business translation in three dimensions such as cultural psychology, customs and thinking ways.

中国为自古以为礼仪之邦，人们会习惯性在合同中写上“经双方友好协商”、“经反复讨论”等词句以表达对对方的礼貌和尊重，对于西方人而言，合同是双方当事人之间实现权利义务的一种法律文书，因此，西方的合同及协议多为直截了当，省去许多冗词赘句。在制定合同时，为表示正式和庄重，西方人习惯用两个词甚至三个同义词表达一个意思，如：this contract is made and entered into ….;the terms is null and void; the employee further warrants ,guarantees and covenants等等。
